Nikolai Cichy '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m a great playmaker and leader who has the ability to keep my head high even when my team is down in a game or we lose. I like to help my teammates to understand plays and I’m always ready to learn new aspects of the game. My hockey journey began later than most other players did, my first time skating was about three years ago when I was eleven and only a half a year later did I start playing hockey. I have quickly progressed and I am now entering my second season of travel hockey through my hard work and determination. My dedication to hockey involves me driving around 100 miles round trip to practices and games several times a week. Even though hockey takes a great deal of time on the weekdays and weekends I still maintain my grades as a straight A student since school is very important to me as well. My collegiate goals are to pursue a hockey career while also continuing one of my passions and soon to be careers, photography. I believe that the characteristics that make me different from other recruits are that I produce high-quality work on and off the ice even under stressful circumstances, I am well-rounded, and always appreciated and respected by my peers.
