Dear Coaches,

My name is Alex Ferreira, and I am a 15-year-old hockey player with ambitious goals both on the ice and in the classroom. My dream is to play hockey at the collegiate level while pursuing academic excellence. I believe in striving for the highest standards in all aspects of my life. What sets me apart as a candidate for your team is my unwavering commitment and willingness to do whatever it takes for our collective success. I understand that being part of a team is about more than just individual skill; it's about contributing to something greater than myself.

My journey in hockey has been defined by a strong desire to achieve remarkable feats with an extraordinary team. This desire led me to make significant sacrifices, including asking my parents to homeschool me. This decision was fueled by my dedication to hockey, allowing me to devote more time to training and improving my skills. Furthermore, I am embracing a unique opportunity to move to Slovakia for the whole '24-'15 season, where I could train and play at a higher level with U18, U20, and A teams. This experience is not only sharpening my hockey skills but has also allowed me to broaden my perspective and understanding of the game.

In addition to my athletic endeavors, I am proud to say that I have been an honors student throughout my educational journey. Balancing academics and sports has taught me the importance of discipline, time management, and resilience. These qualities, I believe, make me a unique recruit.
