My name is Saif Alexander-Pardhan, but my close friends and family call me “Tico”. I’ve been playing hockey since I started walking. My brother and I would play in the basement and then, I learned how to skate in my neighborhood park and I was hooked. Hockey plays a big role in my life and has taught me social and life skills, leadership as captain in Minor Peewee and U15, discipline, and time management since I have always played on a competitive team and had good grades. My dream is to play NCAA Division 1 hockey and move on to the pros.
I am a two-way puck-moving defenceman, and I am positionally very strong. I am effective on the breakout, a good passer and do not hesitate to block shots and body check. I also protect my own zone well as part of the PK unit. I believe I am a good addition to a college team because I am positive, respectful, determined, and hard-working. My coaches and teachers always tell me I am coachable and teachable. In a team setting, I put the team before me and am happy when my teammates succeed. I am excited for my future and cannot wait to play collegiate sports while getting a good education! I can't wait to experience new adventures in hockey and life, in and after college.
