Brad Arnott '19 Recruiting Profile

The first time I put skates on I was 9 years old and since then my passion for the sport has continued to grow. I attended numerous development camps and had the opportunity to participate in clinics run by James Richmond (LA Kings)  and Scott Grover (Mariposa School of Skating). I now have the skill and determination to to play college hockey.

I am a focused player who is fully committed to the sport on and off the ice. Whether it’s dry land, shinny or the championships my level of focus does not wane. I thrive with new challenges and am eager to receive direction from my coaches and look forward to learning new skills and drills.

I am very much a team player, always looking for ways to improve the camaraderie and strengthen the teams synergy.  

Right wing is where I am most comfortable however this year has brought about the opportunity for me to fluctuate between defence and forward. In a dire moment, I was asked if I would be willing to drop back to defence due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in a short bench (11 players). I have since continued to play both right wing and defence depending on the needs of each game and have excelled in both positions.

I have achieved and maintained honour roll in both my freshman and sophomore years, averaging in the high eighties.  I am most proficient in Math and Sciences. For post secondary education I am looking to attain an degree within a Law, Marketing or Sport Management Program.

Although hockey is my absolute passion I have also earned positions on the Junior Varsity Football and the Ultimate Frisbee teams. In the off season I am a counsellor at the Barrie Colts Summer Camp and I play 3 on 3 ice hockey.
