My collegiate aspirations are to attend a top tier university while continuing to play lacrosse and/or water polo. I am a student first, and an athelete second, however I give 100% effort in both. I am a high-achiever in the classroom, as I am always challenging myself with the most rigorous classes. Similarly, I always push myself on the lacrosse field and in the water polo pool. My coaches describe me as an on-the-field leader and one who puts the team's success above my own. I am seen as an unselfish player and very coachable.
In the future, I would like to attend a medical school or study biomedical engineering
As a sophomore, I am a part of the National Honors Society and this semester I earned a 4.7 GPA. While maintaining my grades and participating in high school and club sports, I am highly involved in the community and have roughly 180 community service hours over my first year of high school. I am the founder and president of the Christian Club with over 100 people attending weekly on my schools campus. I also provide weekly respite care for students with special needs ages 3-15 by feeding, teaching, and caring for them. Since 2011, I have contributed 700 hours (since 2011) towards the planning, set-up, and administrative responsibilities of putting on a prom for students with special needs. I host annually at this event with a high school student with special needs through a night of prom activities. I am also actively involved with volunteering at Rotary Club events such as annual house building projects in Tijuana, Mexico, decorating the VA home for the holidays, assembling bikes for underprivileged kids, and also serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald house.
