Skilled Face Off / Middy looking to find a great DII / DIII program to call home starting the 2021-2022 season! I play on the ADVNC SF 2021 with tons of other extremely talented student athletes (https://www.advnclacrosse.com/committed-spotlight) and attend SI Ignatius College Prep in SF where I'm a third year Varsity player. I also play on the Fog City Club team and participate in FOA Face Off Academy clinics. Having access to these amazing coaches and being part of these elite teams is something I've worked hard for. My West Coast high school team has won the respect from the East as we are becoming noticed with wins as we travel east to compete with the best. One highlight I will never forget is making it to the championships at Naptown with ADVNC and playing at Navy, that was amazing. This summer my Fog City team played in the National High School Lacrosse Showcase and showed that the West Coast players have arrived, we held our own! I was lucky to be able to travel to play (no lacrosse in California due to Covid) this summer in MD and start at all the NHSLS games with Fog City and Crabs with ADVNC. It was a great opportunity for some competitive lax as well as playing within the new FO rules. The other highlight for me was being invited to play with the Charlotte Secondary team in the Texas Cup last year. I met the coach at a screening of the ESPN Lacrosse film "Cross Roads" and was really moved by it, seeing how much a coach's passion and access to sports could turn under privileged kids lives around. When Coach Bobby Selkin asked me to help out, I jumped on it! Playing with those boys from Charlotte really opened my eyes to the opportunities that I was taking for granted and gave me a broader perspective around diversity and inclusion. I was determined to live up to what I could be and challenge myself. My freshman and sophomore years were a bit rough for me academically, but I knew I had to push to be able to play for a good school. I was able to dig in Junior year and came out with a 3.9! I learned about perseverance and progress over perfection. My overall GPA is 3.4 now and I am enrolled in 4 honors classes for senior year. I
