For my whole life, I've lived in the city of Baltimore. The first time I heard of lacrosse was from my next door neighbor. He gave me my first stick. My first couple of games I played midfield but wanted to play goalie just for fun. My coach at the time, Sean Horrigan, made me fall in love with the sport. He was a great motivator and loved the guys who he coached. I owe most of my accomplishments to him. Being from the city, there aren’t many options for kids for their future. When I started to become good at my position it took me down a completely different path, I met new people who helped guide me to Loyola Blakefield Highschool. Lacrosse has taken me down a path that I never would've expected. When I was in 8th grade my team played for the world series of youth lacrosse. In my rising sophomore year, I made the under armor all-American team and I also made the Maryland Freestate team.
I am a passionate player who enjoys taking shots, watching film, and meeting with coaches even on off days. Everything I do is for my passion for lacrosse. I am the oldest of 4 with a single parent. I paint apartments in Baltimore city to help pay for prospect camps, and tournaments, so that I can get myself in front of coaches such as yourself. After September 1st I haven't gotten as much feedback from coaches as I expected. Now I know what your thinking, I am a random kid reaching out to a school with no perception of reality, but you are wrong. I think I'm one of the top 10 goalies in the 2021 class, who's been extremely overlooked and if you don't believe me, watch my highlight tape. One thing you need to learn about me is that I am not a quitter. My freshman year I got a 2.8 GPA. I knew if I was going to play at the highest level I had to fix it. My sophomore year every class went up a full letter grade. By the end of the year, I had a 3.5 GPA. when I got cut from varsity my freshman year I didn't get down on myself, instead, I worked hard. I stayed after every practice taking shots from every player until my mom had to drag me off the field. That same year I made the Under Armour all-America command team, the Baltimore summer kickoff all-star team, the mscla Freestate team, and was named one of the top 2021 players to watch in Maryland by laxrecords.com
In school, my goals are to make 1st honors and have a GPA over a 3.8 and get a sat score of 1400. School has become extremely important to me this past year. Every day I'm on my school website looking at my grades, what I can approve on, what free periods my teachers have so that I can meet with them, and I'm regularly calculating my GPA. Everything I do in high school is meant to prepare myself for college. I'm getting in the habit of meeting with my teachers regularly, completing homework as soon as possible, and studying for tests and quizzes multiple nights before the testing day.
I would love speak with you in the future.
