Starting out in sunny Coronado, CA, lacrosse was a way of life. The first time I picked up a lacrosse stick I fell in love with the game. There was a clinic just to see if I would even like it, I remember thinking why wouldn’t I like it, you get to hit someone with a stick. That was the thought of first grade me. Not only do I love the game but I respect the game and I am fascinated by the history of it.
Lacrosse is the one thing I am truly passionate about I know this because I hate to lose my games. I hate losing even more than I love to win. I don’t sulk if I make a mistake, instead, I learn from it and work on improving myself. My competitiveness, especially with my older brother, is what drives me to work every day on my stick skills.
Currently, I am recent graduate from Cushing Academy and I played attack for Cushing and MXB Lacrosse, which was my club team. I work hard all year, from weekly strength training classes and off-season clinics and pick up teams, all to ensure I have a great lacrosse season. I am usually the first person on the field and the last one-off.
My ultimate dream is to one day play professionally. However, there are a few goals I have to make to get there. My first goal was to be a starting attack for the varsity squad of my high school and make a name for myself and to help my team the best I can. Now it's time to get better through learning and growing as a person and a player. My next goal is that I would love the opportunity to play college lacrosse someday.
I know it’s a lot of hard work and dedication both on and off the field to achieve my goals, but I am up for that challenge.
