My name is Anthony Mastroianni and I began my lacrosse journey 7 years ago when I was 8-years-old. I am now 14-years-old entering my Freshman year at Milford High School (Massachusetts). I hold a 4.0 GPA and I'm enrolled in all honors classes. Based on my grades and hard work, I was invited to enroll in the Metrowest Scholars Early Start Program, where I began attending college level courses in 8th grade. This program continues through high school and gives me the opportunity to earn up to 70 college credits during high school.
I began my lacrosse career as an attack/defensemen. During a game in 4th grade our goalie was injured and I was offered the opportunity to play goalie. We won the game and I allowed only 3 goals. At the time I was unaware that a scout from the lacrosse club Coyotes was there to scout the goalie, thinking I was the goalie he came to scout, he offered me a roster spot on the team. I accepted and have played club lacrosse ever since, focusing on improving my skills in the goal. I have played on two in-town teams, the Milford/Medway Select Lacrosse Team, as well as the Coyotes Club Team. I have started every year on all teams and have seen some success along with strong play from my teammates. Last year (2021) I was selected to the Select Baystate All-Star game as the starting goalie. I continue and strive to get better every time I step into the goal and work hard to improve the technical aspects of the position.
Going forward I plan to have a successful high school career and hope to play lacrosse at the college level. Through my hard work as a lacrosse goalie and in keeping my grades as high as possible, I have aspirations to play at the highest college level, focusing on Ivy League and Division 1 colleges.
