I started playing lacrosse in 1st grade for Greece Storm Lacrosse. The minute I picked up a stick I never wanted to put it down. My goal is to play lacrosse at the next level after high school.
I am a 6'0" 161LB left-handed LSM/close defenseman. I attend the Aquinas Institute High School. I will graduate in June 2024. I am a multi-sport athlete, in addition to lacrosse I play basketball and soccer. This year (2022) I participated in the Aquinas boxing program and boxed in the 90th Annual Mission Bouts. I have a 95.21 weighted GPA. I consistently achieve Principals Club, which is high honor roll. I am also involved in DECA, and I am a student ambassador. Additionally, I do different types of volunteer work such as coaching youth soccer.
This year in the 2022 Spring I was a starting defenseman on the Varsity team. I was recognized as 1st Team All-League Defense and Scholar Athlete. In 2020, I played on the Western Regional team and competed in the Upstate Games. I was chosen for the All-Star Team.
I have been starter on the Varsity lacrosse team since my freshman year. Although I play LSM and defense, the coaches have used me in many different roles on the team such as short stick midfielder, defensive midfielder, and faceoff. I consider myself a leader on and off the field. I am coachable and able to take constructive criticism. I want to win and be at my best at all times. I proactively ask the coaches for feedback so that I can make sure I am always improving my game.
I train all year long and ensure that speed and strength training are part of my routine. I am able to handle disappointments and adversity. I broke my clavicle in May 2021 in a Varsity game and ended up needing surgery which took me off the field for four months. I did not let that get me down or set me back. I came back stronger. I worked tirelessly every day for 4 months with a physical therapist and personal trainers to come back stronger. I worked with a college lacrosse coach to ensure my stick skills and foot work were at their best. I don't let disappointments or setbacks get me down. I use them as learning experiences and ways to ensure mental toughness.
