My name is Ian Shaw, and I am a three sport athlete with a 3.8 GPA (non-weighted). In addition to lacrosse, I am on my school's volleyball and rifle teams. I have been a varsity member of the rifle team since 8th grade. Being on the rifle team has taught me to have greater patience and increased my resiliency. My rifle coach says, "the most important shot is the next one" meaning I need to quickly move on to the next shot if I took a bad shot. I have taken this belief to the crease so that I don't dwell on a goal that was just scored on me, making adjustments to be prepared for the next shot on goal.
I am looking forward to playing lacrosse at the highest level and being challenged every day to work hard academically and play harder athletically.
