Colton Jones '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’11”, 190 lb defender from Calgary, AB, Canada. I currently attend Everest Academy in Toronto, Ontario and will graduate in the class of 2020. I’ve been playing lacrosse since I was 10 years old, and I am managing academics and lacrosse successfully with a 3.88 to 4.0 GPA.  I achieved the Ontario Scholars award for Grade 12.  I understand the importance of helping others, as I have participated in multiple service projects around my city, including working at my local food bank and I’ve even earned the Canadian Chief Scout Award.  

I would like to be at a large size school with a positive atmosphere, where I can make an impact both on the field and in the classroom. My goal is to explore a major in Engineering. On the field I strive to be a hardworking, skilled and adaptable player and have a positive influence on a team. I strive to be the best I can be and I always put in 100% of my effort all of the time. I would be willing to attend any school that takes academics seriously, regardless of distance or geography.  Lacrosse has been a major part of my life, my biggest passion, and every time I’m out on the field, I truly feel like I belong out there. Some of my biggest accomplishments in my life have been on the lacrosse field, including being named to the All-Canadian All-Star Game at Canadian Nationals in September 2017, All Star at the Hot Beds Tournament in 2017, All-star at the 2018 3D Denver Shootout and an All-Star at the November 2018 NXT Can-Am Showcase in Detroit.   All Canada Games All-Star in June 2019.  Southern Retreat Tournament All-Star in November 2019.  Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
