I have been playing lacrosse since 4th grade and really enjoy the sport more each year I play. I appreciate all of the hard work and effort put in from the week's practice coalescing into the execution of the coach's game plan for the game. I receive great satisfaction when I see my team come together as a cohesive unit like a well-oiled and operating machine. As I consider myself a leader and mentor for the younger players on defense, I may entertain coaching others in lacrosse or basketball in some capacity someday.
My education is my top priority now and when I attend college. Currently, I am interested in majoring in Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering. In 5 years, I see myself earning a commission in the United States Military and designing components or parts of US military aircraft or weapons systems. I hope to serve my country upon graduation from college.
My goals are somewhat flexible as I have two main interests in the short term - expanding my knowledge / experience in CAD software to provide innovative solutions in manufacturing processes and improve my mechanical engineering aptitude as I continue as the Robotics Build and CAD Design Lead for my Robotics Team. After school, I am busy with Lacrosse, Robotics, Civil Air Patrol, and various other volunteer/leadership organizations. In addition, I attended Texas Boys State in June and have wrapped up my Boeing internship for the summer and continue applying to select universities for acceptance and scholarship opportunities.
Thank you for considering me to be a candidate for your program.
