Every since I can remember, I have been fascinated by how things function and are made. Therefore, my goal for college and beyond is to study engineering to design and create things for the future. In order to further that goal, I chose to attend a STEM based school, which concentrates on team based projects and collaboration. I have an inquisitive mind, and love a challenge, leading when I can, but I am also a good team member.
I have only been playing hockey for a year, but on the ice I have discovered a passion for the game. My other sport is bowling, which I love, but it is a very individual sport. Even though I play on a team, each individual is playing the game for the same outcome, his or her highest individual score.
Hockey, however, is a true team sport that requires its players to assume different roles. Each player has a specific job to do, and when all are executing their jobs together, it is a beautiful game.
I am working hard to improve my skills both on and off the ice. I pride myself on my aggression, and I love to mix it up with bigger players (I am mainly playing against boys).
I look forward to meeting you, and discovering what college hockey has to offer.
