I am a dedicated, competitive individual who likes to have fun while continuing to work hard, and be a team player. I truly love to row. It gives me time to reflect on my day, and helps me get away from all the other things going on in my life. I love to push myself, other individuals, and have others push me. I first became interested in rowing when I saw I could try out through my school during the spring season. I have learned that it is an extremely hard and fun sport that requires dedication. Rowing creates a great team environment as you spend a lot of time with your teammates at practice or regattas which I thoroughly enjoy. Also, I learned that it pushes you to your max, and tests your mentality on a daily basis.Through rowing I have learned that I can seriously accomplish my goals if I put my mind to it no matter what it be. Rowing has taught me to be a leader. I stroked the 8 every year I have rowed. It taught me to be a mature individual who looks out for their teammates, and strives for everyone to be there best. My current goals are to continue developing my stroke as I grow as a rower, drop my 2k erg score, row on a collegiate level, work harder on my academics (achieve a 3.5+ senior year), and lastly give my best self to a collegiate rowing program in order to achieve success.
