Tim van der Waart van Gulik '18 Recruiting Profile

I was born in The Netherlands in 1999 and moved to the USA when I was 6 years old. I am a Dutch citizen and hold a permanent resident card for the United States.

I have played club soccer in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2006.

In 2013-2014, I played for Diablo FC in the U-14 U.S. Soccer Development Academy, where we played other USSDA teams in the region and played at the National USSDA Showcase in Indianapolis in June 2014.

After graduating out of the U14 USSDA Academy, I have been playing in the Norcal Premier League with the Diablo FC U99 premier team.

We were ranked #18 in the country amongst Premier Elite teams.

In the 2016/2017 season, I re-entered into the USSDA again, playing for for the Juventus U19 Academy in Redwood City.

In the summer of 2016 and 2017, I trained with the Dutch Premier League side Excelsior Rotterdam, U19 team, and gained experience scrimmaging against several European Clubs, including Blackpool, Ado Den Haag, and Coventry City FC. After my return to the US, I trained several weeks with the San Jose Earthquakes U19 Academy Team.

I currently play for Heritage SC U19 Premier Elite Team.

My position is Center Defender, but I also play left back or right back.

My goal is to play college in the United States, but I am also motivated to pursue a professional soccer career
