Ethan Rose '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ethan Rose. I am a junior and I am 16 years old. I have been playing soccer ever since the age of 4. At this age, soccer was about the only sport that I could play. The first time I stepped onto the field, I knew that this was something I could see myself doing all my life. I always want to improve and get to the highest level that I can achieve. I currently play on two soccer teams. One is my high school team, I go to Montville High School in Oakdale, Connecticut. I currently play outside midfielder/forward on this team and I am also captain.  The other is my club team, Southeast Soccer Club. I primarily play forward and outside midfield for this team as well. I am a fast and technical player, and I distribute the ball well. I can also take on defenders when needed and put the ball in dangerous places.

As far as my academics go, I am a straight A and B student, in advanced level classes. I have been an honor roll student every semester of high school, and currently have a 4.1 GPA. In my high school, I am also a part of the peer mediation team, where I and many other students help our peers solve problems. I am also a member of my class's student government. Here, I organize and arrange fundraisers for our class. This year, I joined my schools indoor track team,  and run in a wide variety of races. Recently, I began to volunteer at my town's local youth center, to try and give back to the community. Over the summer I volunteered at my local hospital.

 In the future, one field/major that has always intrigued me is health care. I want to devote my life to helping others and my mother is a CT scan tech. After seeing what she does and how she got to where she is, that is huge interest in my life.  My work ethic is solid, and my commitment is unbreakable. I would do anything possible to get better, and I will especially in my soccer career.
