I am a scholar athlete who is determined to play soccer in college. I believe I have what it takes to succeed - I learn from my mistakes, I always rise to the challenge, I am very competitive, and I don’t like to lose.
I want to continue developing and improving as a soccer player. To do so, I continue to challenge myself and I continue to rise to the challenge:
Since 2019, I have participated in NISL’s NI Select program, a tryout-based competitive program that selects the strongest players from the greater Chicago area for weekly training sessions.
In my freshman year, I was the starting centerback of my JV team and I was voted a team captain. After my high school season, I was invited to participate in NISL’s All-NPL program for sophomores.
In my sophomore year, I came in to play Varsity centerback when our all-conference senior centerback got injured. I kept that spot for the remainder of the season, including in our sectional final, where I marked all-state first team striker and prevented him from scoring. I was voted co-captain for next season by my teammates.
This year, I was the captain of my high school team. At center back, I scored 10 goals, and was voted all City in Chicago, and All Sectional. My school won our first regional title since 2006.
This spring in club soccer, I will be playing in the NISL Premier 1 Division and EA League with my 2007 team. I have been selected by my coach as team captain.
I am a good student at one of the top 100 high schools in the country, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. I have been taking advanced high school classes since 7th grade, including 1 AP course freshman year and 5 AP courses as a sophomore, and 5 more this year as a junior.
I’m looking forward to challenging myself in both academics and athletics in college, and I plan to rise to that challenge.
