I've always taken pride in trying my hardest to accomplish whatever I am doing. Whether its sports, academics, working at my family business, or any other day to day activities, I always give it 100%. I seem to be at my best when I am working among teammates and classmates, and enjoy learning new things, both on and off the field.
I have a couple different ideas of what I'd possibly like to do after college, but I am currently undecided at this point what I want to do for a career. Right now my goal is to find a college where I can continue playing soccer, and that will help me further my education towards the career I end up choosing.
"What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics" ?
This is a hard question to answer, I feel like most of the recruits who are at this level have similar characteristics. As far as the academics, my GPA and grade scores hopefully prove that I am serious about my schoolwork and maintaining above average grades. I started playing competitive soccer at 9 years old, and was a starting player for every team I played with. For the 2 years prior to high school I played on a 2000 team even though I am a 2004 player. My freshman and sophomore years I was elected by my teammates as the varsity captain, athletically I am able keep composed and be a team leader during high pressure situations. I enjoy being coached and learning new skills; also, helping my teammates on and off the field.
Thank you for your consideration,
Brock Oldham
