Having wrestled since I was five years old, I have been able to recognize the important traits it has built in me.  Besides the joy and excitement that comes from success, this is the main reason I would like to continue this sport in college.  I know that it has given me discipline, the motivation to work hard, character, and the ability to work with a team.  These are traits that will serve me well in life.

As a USA wrestler, I placed 2nd as a 6th grader, 5th as a 7th grader, and was state champion as an 8th grader. This along with my 5th in state finish as a freshman shows that I have experience with winning.  I have also competed on several Missouri Dual teams at National tournaments over the years.

I also work hard in the classroom.  I recognize that academics are what will sustain me through life and I am committed to making the grade. 

Lastly, I have attended church my entire life.  I have a strong faith and know that life is about more than just me.  I believe this is an important characteristic to bring to any team.
