Greetings coaches:
My name is Lucas Schilling, a senior at Alden High School, in Alden, New York. I am interested in continuing my education by studying engineering while also playing for a high-quality soccer program that is both a good fit for my abilities and development.
I am very interested in continuing to advance my dynamic soccer skills throughout my higher education, while attending a school with an engineering program of excellence. While I aspire to play for a D1 school, I am interested that both the athletic and educational programs are a good fit.
I am dedicated to the sport of soccer and feel that my passion for it, my assets as a team leader, as well as my features as a well-rounded player would benefit the right program. Being the captain of the junior varsity soccer team has helped to expand my leadership skills, as I constantly move about during games while seeking to help to coach other team members on the field during play. In addition, I have individual skills that are valuable such as: I am light on my feet, have a lean body mass index, use both feet to score, and have great endurance to play throughout the entire game. I chose to play junior varsity my sophomore year instead of moving to varsity, both to acquire more playing time and leadership skills as team captain.
I maintain a grade of 85s and above in my classes, and will be taking the SAT this year. My future high school goals are to maintain a high academic record for the remainder of this year, in my junior year, and throughout my senior year while also playing varsity-level soccer.
Currently, I play for the Alden Avengers, which is a U19 travel team this summer season. During the fall, I play for Alden High school Varsity, and winter I play indoor league. Since March 1st I have been attending a weekly soccer training with Coach Thurston from Europe. My coaches information is accessible on my profile page.
