Conor Brown '23 Recruiting Profile

I have had some good memories in my life, most of them have been with soccer involved. Ever since I could walk all I can remember doing is playing soccer. I grew up in the centre of Ireland ever since I was 15 until I moved here to the United States. In Ireland I played for two teams named Abbeyleix A.F.C. and Portlaoise AFC. I had great memories which include winning the National Cup and a lot of league titles. I was also able to make it onto my state team and represent them in important soccer games. My last year over there we won 4 titles. Including 2 league cups an SFAI Cup and a National Cup. Since coming here I began freshman year being on JV and being pulled up to Varsity for my High School - Shenendehowa High School. That year we were Sectional AA and Regional champions. The following 2 years we were Sectional Champions. As a Junior now I have learnt from my fellow captains the importance of communication and encourage towards my teammates. I also pride myself as being very coachable willing to listen to my coaches and take aboard any instructions given to me and also be able to take any constructive criticism in a suitable manner.  I believe in myself and my teammates always no matter the situation even on a bad day, I will instruct my teammates in a positive way especially when we are not necessarily having a good day.  Everyday when I step onto the training field I am looking to improve myself mentally and physically. I always try 100% and give everything I have in every form of activity in life, weather it being in soccer or academically or even at home. I dream ever since I was a little kid was to play a high standard of soccer in a healthy and good environment. I personally see myself as a Left Back or Left Wing Back, but I am wiling to play anywhere that will help my team. I am a technical pacy left back who has really good vision and am good at crossing the ball. Everytime I step onto the field I am looking to help my team by creating chances, winning every single 50/50 ball without fail, defending our goal, and benefitting the team overall. I am confident and back myself in every single situation.
