I have recently entered the transfer portal. I am looking to join a program where my skills, strong work ethic, attitude, and athleticism will make a significant impact. I was recruited to play soccer at Hofstra University starting in the fall of 2022. I practiced, worked out, and scrimmaged with the team through the Fall, Winter, and now Spring. I worked hard during practice and strengthened my skills and athleticism playing and practicing with a strong Division 1 team.
The coaches and I decided that I would redshirt for the fall 2022 season, and fortunately I have 4 years of eligibility. While I had been looking forward to significant playing time for the fall 2023, in mid-March 2023, the coaches advised me that due to the depth and age of the team, and the experience of its incoming class (which is comprised of older players with greater college/playing experience), it was likely that my playing time would be extremely limited in the upcoming season. I am looking to join a program where my skills, strong work ethic, attitude, and athleticism will make a significant and immediate impact. I also want a strong academic school. This past semester at Hofstra, I earned a 3.67 GPA, and made Dean's List as well as CAA Honor Roll and truly enjoyed my classes, teammates, coaches, and the campus environment as a whole.
Below is a summary of my pre-college soccer experience:
I have played high level soccer (NPL with Commack and ECNL with SUSA), and earned ECNL All Conference Honors. I am usually tasked with marking the other team's leading scorer, and I am the primary target for all set plays and have a nose for the goal. Commack Varsity Boys Soccer's (CVBS) record for the seasons I played center back is 46-6-1. CVBS was the League 2 (Class AA) champions my last season, and I had 9 goals and 4 assists.
Soccer Honors:
ECNL: All Conference
High School: All Region (Sr., Jr.) All State (Sr., Jr.), All Long Island (Sr.), All County (Sr., Jr.), All Conference (Sr., Jr.), All League (Sr., Jr.)
League Two Most Valuable Player (Sr.)
Senior All Star Game: Most Valuable Player
All American Watch List for Fall 2021.
I have been featured in Newsday's sports sections several times this spring, and this fall I was named to Newsday's Top 100 Players on Long Island. https://www.highschoolsoccerallamerican.com/2017-boys-watch-list
I am an extremely hard worker, a smart physical player, and read the field very well. Academically, I am looking to study education or exercise science with a minor in business or marketing. I firmly believe that playing with one of the best soccer programs in the country at Hofstra has made me an even better, stronger, and smarter player, and my academic achievements this past year have shown that I can balance and excel in a strong academic and athletic environment.
Thank you.
