Zane Bramson '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Prospective College Coach,

My name is Zane Bramson and I am a senior at Somers High School in Lincolndale, New York. Although I have not decided on a specific career path, I am interested in pursuing a biology or chemistry-related degree while playing soccer at a great college.

I have been actively involved in sports since the age of 4. From tee-ball, AYSO soccer and AYSO baseball to travel baseball (attended Cooperstown as part of the Somers Travel Baseball Team) and club soccer (FC Somers) starting at the age of 8.  I have played soccer for my high school team since freshman year, as a JV starter and captain, and moving up to the Varsity team for my sophomore and junior years. In the interest of expanding my sports horizons, I joined the track team in the spring of 2020. Unfortunately, COVID-19 and statewide school closures have had an impact on the entire spring sports season, but I’ve been trying to stay in shape as much as possible while adjusting to distance learning that continued through the end of June. I am grateful for the exceptional and understanding coaches who have inspired me and given me the opportunity to play soccer at such a competitive level.

My ability to manage my time between schoolwork, sports, and work, will help me when I get to college. My coach-ability and unselfish play will help make me a great teammate and part of your program. I am excited about my college search process and look forward to showing you what I can do on the pitch. Thank you for taking the time to review my NCSA profile.
