I’ve been playing organized soccer since I was 6 years old and at least two seasons a year since I was 7. I have worked hard to become a skilled player, including being two-footed, reading the game, and using my passing skills to create opportunities for my teammates. I am also a versatile player and have played every position except goalie. While I usually play Center Midfield, I often switch between offense, midfield, and defense in one game because my coaches trust I will make the right decision with the ball. I always put what is best for my team first and try to make my teammates better. I think the best way to describe myself is as a true soccer player.
My love of soccer, and sports generally, grew through my love of math. When I was five-years-old, I realized sports generate numbers and I was fascinated. I plan to major in Statistics in college and go into Sports Management. I take my education as seriously as I take soccer. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and scored 1440 on the SATs all while playing on two soccer teams and working one day a week teaching sports to children. I am currently a Junior at the Academy of American Studies in New York City.
