Victor Beltrami '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victor Beltrami and I am heading into my senior year at Mahopac High school. My current position is a center midfielder - either a 6 or a 8. My style of play relies on my ability to read the game faster than anyone else on the field. This job often goes unnoticed because some don't understand how my movement of the ball helps the entire team, whether it be a deep check into the defense to draw my marker away from his position and create space, or running out wide to create a gap right through the midfield so my defender and pass through an entire midfield line and we can accelerate the attack. I also have strengths in passing and receiving and always scanning to find an open man on the other side of the field. I am a great leader on the pitch as in I am in constant communication with my teammates and am often positive when they make mistakes. My coach was quoted saying that I ”run the field like a general.” I am focused on the mental aspect of my game, maintaining confidence when I make a mistake, brushing it off instantly and focusing on the next play. I am a leader off the field also because I have good grades and attendance, I don't drink or smoke, and I make sure my teammates around me are doing the same. Luckily my teammates are pretty disciplined and we all keep each other in line. I think I am a pretty unique player because I like to master the basics and a extremely hard worker off the ball.
