I started my athletics as a soccer player in Kindergarten. In 5th grade a coach asked if I would play lacrosse as well and that’s where it all began. In the beginning, soccer was my primary sport but that was cut short by an ACL injury, when the doctor told me I needed to pick soccer or lacrosse (with a strong push towards lacrosse!)
Recovering from my ACL surgery was hard and I was a little worried about reinjury when I was able to start playing again. Although I missed soccer, lacrosse quickly became my favorite sport and I worked hard to recover from the surgery and become a better player.
I am, above all, a team player. As much as I love to go to the goal and score, I recognize when the better opportunity is for me to provide an assist or otherwise support my teammates. Most of my points in club and varsity have been assists and I think that shows how I am always looking for the BEST opportunity. I am also always open to getting advice from my coaches because I know that listening makes me a better player and person.
I am very excited about college and playing lacrosse for my school. I am a hard worker in and out of the classroom and I think that gives me a leg up on many other recruits. I love meeting new people and making new friends and I consider my lacrosse team to be like a second family.
