Connor Burke '20 Recruiting Profile

I began playing soccer, the sport that I would eventually fall in love with, at the age of four. Growing up, I have played soccer at all levels, from recreational to pre-academy, and now to the varsity level in high school. Having played at several different levels, I have played in older age groups, in both leagues and at tournaments, and have become accustomed to playing at a competitive level. When playing, my teams and I have always risen to the challenge in these instances.

With that being said, I've played in all positions on the field, but my best play comes from central midfield. Along with being a versatile player, I am also confident playing with both feet. Individually, I am a very composed player, with great vision on and off the ball. Furthermore, I play to not only look good myself, but also make my teammates look better. Lastly, I am an effective and efficient playmaker and leader. I enjoy being a leader on and off the field, and when given the chance to lead a team, I gratefully accept and work to be the leader my teammates deserve and expect. 

Now, having played soccer throughout the entirety of my life, I am ready to take my game to the next level and participate in a collegiate level team. In addition to playing soccer at the collegiate level, I would not only like to continue my athletics in college, but also my academics. I have always taken in pride in both my academics and athletics, and have never strayed away from the challenge of maintaining a high standard in both. I am ready for the challenges, and prepared to continue being a committed athlete and student.
