My name is Gabriel Freebern and I am a 2021 graduate from New York. I am looking to play college soccer at the highest level possible. When I first started to adapt to a soccer ball I was 5 and loved it ever since. In the past I had a really big fear of communicating with people I didn't know and with people I do know. I would say that I've been in this situation since the start of my Freshman (highschool) year. What really opened me up to the real world was my passion for soccer, especially during my Sophomore year. I fully grasped the expectations of my coaches and peers which earned me the position of being captain on the team. Academically, I strive to achieve good grades, obtaining Academic Achievement awards for multiple subjects.
When I play soccer I am always hungry for the ball and I am never overwhelmed by other players that are intimidating or just a lot bigger than me. I can maneuver myself around the opposition with ease. Combine this with speed (which is my most valuable physical attribute), I cannot be stopped. My main position is striker which allows me to test my capabilities and skill set on the field. One thing that my coach frequently tells me is that he can play me anywhere on the field and I would still find a way to impact those games from that position.
