Personal Statement

Hello my name is Salvatore Zani, I will be graduating in 2024 from Trinity Pawling Preparatory School, in Pawling, NY.

I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old at a club level. I trained with NYCFC in my youth, and currently play for Tobar Futbol Academy, and the Hudson Valley Hammers USL Academy team.

My goal is to go to an athletic program that has sports management and business. I carry a 3.59 GPA and take my academics very seriously. I am looking for a school that's going to continue to push me academically as well as on the pitch.

I play forward, but also am open to playing any position on the field that my coach needs me to help the team. I am disciplined on and off the field. I have excellent technical ball skills and great vision of the field. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players.

My love for the game doesn't just stop on the playing field! I currently hold my U.S. D Soccer License at 16 years old and plan to complete my C license in the future. Someday when my playing career is over I want to be able to coach kids and teach them the game that has blessed me with countless opportunity's.

I have always played forward my whole career, because of his speed they moved him defense this year on his new club. He played a majority of his games at left defense. Towards the middle of the fall season he was playing half the game on defense and the other half on forward. During his time on forward he capitalized finishing the season with six goals and 8 assist.
2017 Players Eye CT and Players Eye NY (WYSL Premier/NYCSL/NPL)
Played Five seasons all year around with Players Eye starting in April 2017 and ending in the summer of 2018. During that time Sal played on the team there record for all sanctioned play was (Wins 73) (Ties 10) (Losses 24). His recorded stats from the team manager and Got Soccer was (Goals 137) (Assist 40) During each of those seasons he lead the team in goals and assist. In league play during his five seasons with the team they won there division three times and finished in second place two times. All game record stats include State Cup and also tournament play.

I was one of the twelve kids out of two hundred plus players chosen to be the Captain of my team at the NYCFC Talent Cup held at ST. John's University. This was a big accomplishment to get recognized by NYCFC trainers and coaches as being a leader. This event brings all the best players in the area to compete.
