From the moment I first touched a soccer ball, I’ve been driven by passion, discipline, and an unwavering desire to grow. My name is Max Tempelman, and soccer has been the foundation of my personal development, academic focus, and athletic ambition for as long as I can remember.

As a forward, I take pride in being more than just a goal scorer. I strive to be a complete player—one who creates space, sees the field two steps ahead, and lifts the level of my teammates. Over the past ten years, I’ve scored over 270 goals and assisted nearly 90, but what I value most is the team-first mindset that has brought success to both my high school and club teams.

Growing up in New York, I was fortunate to train with some of the best through the New York Red Bulls Academy and now NYCFC’s development system. These experiences taught me not only technical and tactical excellence but also the importance of accountability, time management, and leadership—on and off the field.

At Legacy High School, I’ve balanced a 4.0 GPA with a full athletic schedule, demonstrating the same focus in the classroom as I do on the pitch. I’m excited to bring my competitive spirit, coachability, and work ethic to the collegiate level, where I can continue to challenge myself as a student-athlete and contribute to a program’s culture of excellence.
