I am a 5’11” soccer forward. I am very passionate about sports but love soccer the best. I have played soccer on recreational and club travel teams since the age of 8 when I came to this country from Haiti. I started playing for my school, La Salle Institute, in 7th grade in modified then in 8th grade was in Junior Varsity and in freshman year, played both Junior Varsity and Varsity. My junior year I played Varsity and expect to play Varsity for my senior year. I was on starters in all teams for my school. Sophomore year I was out due to a knee injury. My coach told me that I had the potential to go further in the sport so that is what kept me motivated while I was out. I improved myself mentally so have become a better player as a result.
What makes me a good candidate is that I have good sportsmanship and have gotten compliments for it from other teams’ coaches. I am very driven to do well and please my coach. My junior year, while coming back from an injury, I was the second highest scorer. Freshman year, at an end of year tournament, my team lost but the opposing team’s coach picked me as the MVP. Freshman year I was the highest scorer.
I am open to any location/size and am looking for a college where I can feel like its family. Finance assistance is very important.
