My goal as an athlete is to stand out from other athletes. When I train and play I give everything I have all of the time. I try to demonstrate my character day in and day out and I strive to be a better student, athlete, and person in general. I will give my best effort and maintain the same work ethic no matter where I go or what I do. I want to be a player and student who stands out from others. I strive to keep my grades as high as I possibly can and I push myself in both school and soccer. I want to be a top-class player, and I know it takes hard work and dedication. I will give that hard work and dedication to my coaches, the team, my schoolwork, and anyone I come in contact with on a daily basis. I received the most-improved award for soccer my eighth grade year. In addition, my club team recently obtained a new coach and he told my mom, after a few weeks of training and matches, that I was the one he was most impressed with out of my entire team and he also commended my work ethic. My school varsity soccer team finished second in state in the 2015 season, where I was a regular starter and a leader on the team as a freshman. I am now a starting captain who plays the entire game. My GPA at that time 4.48 with all honors courses. In the 2015 season, my club team finished first in our league, we also played in two post-season tournaments winning both. I was a regular starter in all competitions. During our league my defense kept 7 clean sheets out of 10 games. I played every match, whether the whole match or majority of the match. Last winter I am coached a middle school indoor soccer team from my school. I have also been elected as class president two years running. Following my school soccer season this year where I was a captain as a junior, I received an all-region award as well. I played every single minute of the season as center-back, and I was named as the MVP at our school's sports banquet. This club season, I joined a new club and started 9 out of 11 games in the first division. We went on to have a winning season and finished 3rd overall. I captained our team for our final game of the season which was in Kepner Cup. I recieved three different high school leadership awards and maintained my highest GPA yet, while taking all honors classes. I finished the year with all A's in every class all year long and finished with a weighted gpa of 4.55. In the most recent 2017 season, I started every game as the only captain until I received a knee injury, ruling me out for the last four weeks of the season. I still received a first-team all state award.
