Hello everyone, my name is Alexis Ramirez. I attend Liberty Christian Academy in Richlands, NC, as well as playing club soccer for Onslow Classic Soccer Academy under coach Carlos Padilla.
My preferred position is central midfield, whether it’s an attacking role or defending role. I enjoy having the ball at my feet and creating spaces and opportunities, as well as helping recover the ball. I am also able to play on the outsides very comfortably whether it’s as a winger or a fullback
I began my soccer career at the age of 8, playing for East Duplin Soccer Club under Steven Mogollon. I continued playing youth soccer through club and middle school. While playing for East Duplin Soccer Club. I played in the Select Challenge and Classic Divisions. I played JV soccer for East Duplin High School for my freshman year, then transferred to Liberty Christian Academy; where I played Varsity Soccer for Steven Mogollon and Barry Cannon from my sophomore year to senior year. During my 3 years I started every game, and captained the team for my senior year. Sophomore year, we ended up being runners up in the 2018 NACA tournament in Dayton, TN. Junior season, I helped lead a team to an undefeated season, and 5th place finish in the 2019 NACA tournament. Senior season, I captained a team to 2nd place finish in our conference. During my Jr year club season I played club soccer for Steve Ellis at Wayne County United Soccer Club U18 Team. In where I helped the team to a runners up medal at Beast of the East Tournament in Greenville, NC. I played my final club season for Onslow Classic Soccer Academy U19 under coach Carlos Padilla in where I helped the team have an undefeated season, alongside reaching the semi-final in 2021 NC Kepner Cup.
Senior season I finished with 9 goals and 15 assist in a short 9 game season. Some of my individual achievements include, 2018, 2019 NCCAA All conference team, 2020 Leadership Award. In the fall of 2015, I had the chance to travel to Barcelona, Spain to train at the FC Barcelona facilities under ISL Futbol for a 2 weeks.
My future goals consist of attending a 4 year university to continue my educational and athletic career. Hoping to major in in elementary education, in where I would love to become an elementary teacher or student counselor. A career path that gives me an opportunity to help the youth, academically and athletically.
