Hello, my name is Jacob Hirshberg and I'm a center-back looking to play for a college that fits me well.
Consistently being the youngest in every grade and team I've been in has left a chip on my shoulder and a strong desire to work hard to meet and surpass the best both academically and athletically. I was raised with a brother with autism and a little sister, so I've practically been a leader since day one and this is no different on the field. I love them dearly and pride myself, above all other things, on my positive attitude that rubs off on everyone in my life. I will bring my positive attitude, leadership, and strong will to your team.
I've been playing the game since I was five and that first touch on the ball was the spark that ignited my intense passion for the game. Every time I have stepped onto the field to play since that day, all my worries have gone away for that one moment bringing a pure happiness like no other as I play my heart out. Soccer has taught me that life is a team effort, and that you need to support others and be supported every step of the way whether it's advice on how to make a tackle, or helping someone on their path to a better life.
Academically, I not only have a 4.0 GPA, but I have serious interests which I would like to pursue at your school like language learning and psychology. I take classes, not just for the 4.0, but to truly learn, explore and do what I love. However, that's not to say that I'm not opting to take the most rigorous courses that I possibly can. I am in the AP Capstone program which places me in AP classes of every sort as quickly as possible. I work hard to maintain my grades and they will not falter.
I believe that I will bring something special to your university and if you believe the same and would like to contact me, please do so via e-mail and/or text so that I can get back to you ASAP.
