The year 2021, the peak of the most recent pandemic had an impact on everyone and also affected high school and club sports. Alike many athletes in North Carolina, my High School season was canceled. With the help of my parents, I moved to a team in Spartanburg South Carolina, and quickly secured a starting spot in the team. Through thick and thin we pulled off a state championship in my first season with them and then to regionals in Alabama where we sadly didn't go through by a small margin.
This experience taught me that you can't always sit still where you are comfortable or you will miss the best opportunities. I was presented with different coaching, different styles of play, different players and attitudes, and a different environment. This all helped me become an even better player for my future seasons with Highschool and Club. I'm always looking for a challenge and eager to see what coaches have to offer, and always willing to do whatever it takes to improve my understanding of the game.
