Cade McLaughlin '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" defensive back from West End, NC and will graduate with the 2021 class. I start on my high school Varsity Team.  I was named Defensive Player of the Year, my sophomore year. Last Year, I was selected as Captain for both my High School and Club Teams. I’ve played ODP for 4 years, and was selected to Region Camp, in Alabama every year including playing on Team 1.

Ideally, I would like to find a school that has a strong academic program, in at least 1 of the 2 areas I’m interested in (still undecided), and a soccer program that creates a true team culture, both on and off the field. My goal is to play at the highest level that I’m capable of playing. I would like to be part of a program that focuses on pushing me as a player and where everyone has an “all in together” mentality! Academics are important for my success in the future, and soccer is a huge passion of mine. I’m an extremely loyal person, so once I find the right school, you can count on me to be fully committed in every aspect. I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team, along with the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
