Personal Statement

I simply love the game of soccer and understand that with soccer, academics, and hard work, I can be of great use to your program. As a student I wish to get the most out of the college experience as possible and to further my knowledge as I intend to major in business management, I am not just playing soccer or doing schoolwork either. I run a lawn care business with over 20 clients that we provide lawn services to. I work at a minimum 5 hours a day 5 days a week Monday through Friday doing lawn care.  Academically, I have taken a rigorous course load. Year in year out I have improved my grade point average brining my GPA up from a 2.5 freshman year to almost a 3.7 by my junior year. Next semester I hope to challenge myself with several honors courses and peer tutoring for certain classes, for example next year I will be taking 4 Business Honors courses as well as Spanish 4 Honors and hopefully have the opportunity to peer tutor Spanish 3 honors. I believe that with academics as well as athletics I can set myself apart from any player just by sheer drive to improve my level of play, my love for the game, as well an appreciation for what academic studies may bring for my future. I am a hardworking, determined player, as well as a sponge when it comes to taking in information on and off the field. I think that my skill set, and determination can take me to the college level and beyond as a player. I firmly believe that with these traits in mind, I am a viable candidate for any college soccer program, as well as any college academic and or athletic challenge I have to surpass. Lasty, my goals and aspirations as a player are to play college soccer as well as go further than just college ball, but my education is my number 1 priority as I understand if soccer goes away, I will have to have built a great education to return back to. Still my hopes and dreams as a player are ever present.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
