In college, I hope to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering with the additional desire of representing my future Alma Mater on the soccer fields.
Soccer is my biggest passion. I have been playing the game since I was 4 and in my opinion, it has played a significant part in shaping the person who I currently am. I just can't see myself without soccer in my life.
I am a problem-solver by nature who loves the objectivity of the hard sciences. I truly believe that soccer is a constant problem solving game in which problems rarely present themselves twice in the same way. My role as a center-midfield is the perfect position which allows me to take charge and solve the problems that the team deals with within the game.
In terms of academics, I seek a solid foundation in all of the natural sciences and also the skills that an engineering degree will provide me. I seek to be best prepared to achieve my goal of helping change lives for the better.
I strive to help my peers academically whenever I can, as much as I possibly can. I plan to continue doing so in college. I wish to contribute to the learning environment of my university to make it as friendly and collaborative as possible.
Attending a small, International French school since the age of 3, I have been exposed to the most diverse group of people that I have ever encountered (33 total nationalities represented). I have learned to tolerate, respect, and identify with other identities which don’t align with my own. My school is very discussion based and I have been raised to share my opinions and views regarding any topic.
I plan to attend a university which contains a very similar environment as my current high school. I hope to continue being exposed to diverse people while learning from them and their experiences as much as they learn from me and my own.
Through my club soccer experience, I have had the opportunity to interact with players from all different backgrounds, cultures, and religions. The daily interactions that I have with people on and off the pitch has provided me with a rich view of our world, and how important it is to respect, empathise and help one another.
Athletically, I possess qualities that every coach seeks in their players: hard work, determination to win, loyalty to the team and to my teammates. I believe that with my technical abilities with the ball, my experience with the game, my vision, and my willingness to play quick and beautiful soccer, that I will be a great fit in whichever team that I am a part of.
