Mitchell Hermes '21 Recruiting Profile

Coming from an athletic family, my parents encouraged me to try many different sports, like baseball, ice hockey, basketball, karate and of course soccer.  Although I did well in each of these sports, I found soccer to be the most challenging and rewarding at a very young age. By 7th grade, l excelled in both cross-country and track, but gave them up to focus exclusively on soccer at the competitive club level and at school. Soccer appealed to me more because of the team comradery and sharing awards and victories with my friends. Although the highs and lows of playing competitive soccer have shaped me into the player I am today, academics is what will define my future. I am currently able to balance my passion for soccer with my high academic standards and I want to continue this in my college career. I am looking for a school that can challenge me on and off the field.
