My name is Egan Bedwell. I am a goalkeeper on the Milwaukee Bavarian Soccer Club U18 Blue Team. Our U16 team accomplishments, as our U17 season was ended due to Covid-19 implications:
-Won the Wisconsin State Cup in May 2019
-Won the Midwest Regional Tournament in Saginaw, Michigan
-Advanced to the National Tournament in Overland Park, Kansas
-Qualified and will be competing at the USYS National League level again in 2019-20
My Senior high school season was cancelled due to Covid-19, but my Junior high school soccer season was very successful. I was the starting goalkeeper for the varsity team. Our varsity team accomplishments:
-Finished the season 15-5-2
-Won conference and our first playoff game
-I was honored by being named First Team All-Conference Goalkeeper.
I am a senioir (Class of 2021) at Rufus King International Baccalaureate High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My accomplishments:
-I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career
-National Honor Society
-Science Honor Society
-German Honor Society
-Fluent in German and English
My goals after high school are to attend college and play soccer. I plan to pursue my academic interests in science and biology, while playing the sport I love. I have invested a great deal of time and effort into getting myself positioned for college academic and athletic challenges. My passion for soccer continues to grow as I work to better myself. I hope to bring my athletic and academic accomplishments to a college that will continue to challenge me on and off the field.
I have a busy upcoming winter and spring. I have taken the ACT and will be traveling, as permitted, for soccer as follows:
-Indianapolis College showcase games in December 2020
-National League qualifying events in the Spring 2021
-Midwest Regional games begin in Spring 2021
