Personal Statement

My name is Kolton Frederickson, I am a Junior on our Varsity team,  along with Team Caption for two years now at Spooner High School.  I have played soccer since I was 7, for our Northland Badger Soccer Club (our local club team).  In 2016, I attended the UW-Whitewater soccer clinic, 2018 I attended the UW-Eau Claire soccer clinic to gain expertise and excel in the sport.  In 2018-2021, I went to USA Cup soccer in Blaine, with combined teammates from surrounding areas to achieve even more experience and gain knowledge of my strengths and weaknesses.  Summer of 2020 I attended Real Madrid Experience in Blaine, MN. I was picked to travel to Madrid and train there in November 2021. Madrid was an amazing experience, learned a lot of new footwork, strategies and team building. I was offered a residency in Barcelona, which I will check more into. Just announced second year in a row 1st team all Conference.

I think my mother describes me best when she said, " stamina, coordination, foot placement, balance, technique, speed...he can sense his opponents direction on the field based on their footsteps, how heavy or light and what direction they are headed.  When the ball is in the air and can be headed he visualizes where his teammates are and sends the ball in their direction with the twist of his head.  He calculates the angles it takes to beat an opponent instead of chasing them, he intently watches the last defender to beat them to the ball, without getting called offsides, to take a shot on goal...timing, precision, calculation, talent, hardwork and dedication..."

I study soccer videos, different strategies, footwork, workouts, to improve myself.  I practice daily and play soccer year round for both spring and fall season, in the summers with the USA cup teams and in the winter doing indoor futsol and indoor tournaments.  THERE IS NO OFF SEASON, SOCCER SEASON IS MY FAVORITE SEASON!!

If he can develop his technical side, he will be a nice prospect.Ball control is massive for your game. Work on it every day. Coever type exercises are great. You want to learn and watch the game more.
