My high school basketball team has never been known for being the best in the conference. Watching the older girls as a freshman and now lately witnessing my team struggle has pushed me to get better, so my team can go far. I’ve been interested in basketball ever since I started little dribblers in 4th grade. Over my years of playing I have learned that hard work, attending camps, and AAU really does make a difference.
My academic goal for high school is to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. Then I want to attend a college that suits me, major in some kind of biology and become a dentist. I have had to overcome the stereotype that my high school basketball team will never achieve much because we never have. As a two sport athlete that maintains good grades I have found that I am very good at managing my time and getting things done.
