My education path is to pursue a degree in architecture. I have a huge passion for design, creativity, and problem solving. I am the top student in mathematics and science.
I have been involved in design competitions and workshops. I placed 1st. My long term goal as an architect is to specialize in modern high rises located in the top financial centers in the USA. I would love to start my own firm and contribute to sustainable design practices.
While pursuing my degree in architecture I plan to continue to be a student athlete and pursue my goal in swimming to make my Olympic Trial cuts. I will be a positive addition to any college team that gives me the opportunity.
Combining my dedication to swimming, with my aspirations in architecture will showcase a well-rounded and disciplined approach to both athletics and academics.
I am absolutely dedicated to my swim training. I swim double days Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, and singles on Saturdays. I also have strength training 4 times per week. I have missed fewer than 3 days of practice this year. I continually set swim goals for myself each season (short & long course). Mental visualization is a large part of my regular training regime.
My current GPA is 4.4. I am able to balance both academics and swimming while maintaining this GPA.
Thank you for taking to time to get to know me.
Very Respectfully,
Kevin Yu
