Dyson-John Arakaki '20 Recruiting Profile

Swimming has been my life for the last 9 years.  I started club swimming when I was 8 years old and I have worked my way up to where I am today, a 4-year varsity high school swimmer. 

I think what stands out about me is my dependability and reliability.  When I say I will do something, I will do whatever is necessary to make sure it gets done.  For the past four years, when I go to practice, my aim is to always improve myself.   Another trait I would say would differentiate myself from others is trust and diligence.  This past season, I stepped up and took the role of team captain where I was responsible of helping coordinate logistics (signups, scheduling, transportation, gear, etc.) and leading the men’s team.   I've gotten faster, dropping time in each of his individual races and became a key part of our relays. 

These traits have helped me succeed as an athlete.
