I started swim way back in 7th grade, back then it was just something I was forced to do by my parents, but it's been slowly turning into my passion. My freshman year I took the initiative to bring myself to the level of my peers (most of whom had been swimming since before 3rd grade). That year I went from nothing to qualifying for state. Sophmore year I had to deal with the effects of covid and not having a pool, I would wake up early and work out in my basement for hours, this allowed me to get back to where I was and qualify for more events at state the next year. My junior year our team peaked, all of our relays were able to break the 50 year old school records and our 400 freestyle relay took 3rd at state. It's my senior year right now and it looks like more records are gonna be broken and more state times are going to be made.
