How much I have improved from freshman year to now has showed me that my hard works pays off. Listening to the helpful tips my coaches have given me has helped me lower my scores. My dad and mom got me interested in golf at the age of 12. Before that, I played softball for a few years, but didn't have the motivation to be better, unlike I do in golf. Once I started playing competitively, I knew I wanted to keep playing and growing as a golfer. I have learned that patience and staying focused can make you a better golfer, teammate, and person. Each year since freshman year, I have been the number one spot for my high school team, leading them to victories in conferences and tournaments. I believe I am leader for my team, helping them improve their weaker areas of the game. To me, being a leader doesn't just mean winning, it means taking initiative to achieve goals for myself and my team. On the other hand, academics are just as important to me as golf is. I am still undecided what I want to do for a career, but I do have interest in business or biology that works with animals.
