Kevin King '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kevin King and I am a seventeen-year-old boy from Concord, North Carolina I am a Senior in Highschool. I attend Hope Academy and swim on Sailfish Aquatics in the Senior Performance Group. I have been swimming since I was eleven years old, only joining a club team two years ago. I have grown to love swimming and have seen how my life has changed since I joined this team. While I have met many friends from swimming, I have also grown personally. The discipline required to swim competitively has changed my life both in and out of the pool. I currently am working on my Eagle badge for Boy Scouts and am the Student Council President of my school's student council. I also volunteer on my summer swim team as a volunteer coach, where I have learned how to teach the younger upcoming swimmers. In school, my favorite subject is history as I find myself losing track of time as I dive into the past to explore the ways of the world.  In the future, I hope to find myself at a college where I can pursue my academic dreams and discover a passion for learning again.
