My name is Nicholas Nikolov (Nick), and I would like to be considered for a College swim team. I am currently a HS Senior, and a competitive swimmer at SwimMAC, NC. I have been competitively swimming for the past five years, with AA times in 50 free, BB times in 100 BK, BR & Fly. The swimming became a part of my life that balances out my physical strength, my mind, and gives me purpose. I am passionate when it comes to set a new goal, and I am committed to prove to myself that I can reach my personal best in swimming by cutting times with every season. I would love to join a college team with athletes like myself, who have goals, vision about their career path, and have positive outlook on life. I love to travel, and I am a freelance photographer. My interest in Oceanography and Marine Geology overlaps with my interest in International Finance and entrepreneurship. I worked in the past for SafeSplash, and during the summer I teach kids and adults how to swim, which shows me how challenging the teaching is. I am sure my first few years in college will be exciting with all the knowledge, so my interests may change. I am also sure that my passion for swimming would be stronger, I will bond with my team and do my best to achieve my future team’s goals, and proudly represent the University I am swimming for.
