I have been swimming for almost 8 years, I have learned a lot about what it is to be an athlete and what it is to be a swimmer. I have had many great coaches throughout my years that have influenced me to be a leader and have good work ethic. I became interested in swimming when I was in second grade and I had tried most of the other traditional sports like basketball, football and baseball. My mom had saw swimming at our local Y and so she signed me up and I have loved it ever since. Throughout my close to eight years of swimming I definitely realized that swimming requires one of the toughest mental attitudes. This has helped me to get better because on top of getting stronger physically, I have prepared mentally to get where I am today. Other than swimming, I have big academic goals as well. A few things throughout high school is that I want to keep a 4.0 GPA all four years and score well on my ACT in the coming year. And with this I want to make it into a great college and medical school. I definitely think that with the work ethic and leadership I have I can make it to where I want to go even with the many obstacles that lie ahead.
